About: A book about mothering, love and loss.
The return of a rare book of poems by one of New Zealand’s most eloquent artists. Imogen, first published in 1978 by Alan Loney at Hawk Press, depicts, in sparse concrete verse, the birth, short life, and tragic death of her daughter, Imogen Rose.
Overlooked when it was first released, this 2020 edition is a beautifully produced tribute to the original, a book whose time has finally come.
Readership: poetry lovers, art fans, readers of women’s history, anyone who is a mum or wants to be.
